Saturday 4th November - walk ***** – Felixstowe, The Dip prom walk -
wet morning, sunny afternoon and windy.
No windsurfing today as strong winds and rain forecast so relaxed in bed
doing word games and watching the rain, foul start to the day here in
Felixstowe, Suffolk will float away soon if all this rain dosent stop! Then
did my exercises and Mag made the most amazing ginger cake. After lunch
with the sun now out we decided to drive to Cliff Lane and walk down the
cliff to the prom and walk towards the Ferry. With the tide high the sea
was absolutely amazing with large waves crashing against the sea wall, We
had to walk higher in front of the beach huts to avoid getting wet feet, it
felt good to be alive. Several people we also out enjoying the fantastic
sea with the last of the sun which was setting behind us:) We got as far as
the cliff top carpark before meeting an old friend where we stopped for a
chat before reurning the way we came. With the tide dropping the waves were
subsiding slightly but still great, not her longest walk but certainly one
on the more exciting ones:) Then we drive back via The Fludyes with the sun
setting behind the dock cranes, then down to the view point to see the
sunset which was not great and home for a big slice of that yummy ginger
cake:)
Tomorrow is still looking proming for another windsurf at Levington:)
